Just returned from a lunch gathering of local business people, many of whom are experiencing challenges (like in most areas).  Before the program started, our host asked us to consider how we defined “success”.

As you can imagine, there were as many different answers as there were people.  Perhaps it would have been better to consider what we mean by “failure” instead.  Sometimes it is easier to determine what to avoid than what to strive for.

IMHO, the only way you can fail is to either a) never start, or b) give up. The good news is however, that we can eliminate failure from our lives in an instant if we only just persist…

Whatever comes, whatever happens, keep going. Fix your eyes on the goal, and persist. Your vision, your commitment, and your actions will take you there.

Business and life really are incredible adventures.  Yes, there will always disappointments and victories along the way, but these are just passing scenery.  What never goes away is your ability to choose to keep moving forward.  Persist and play full out and you will never taste failure again…
