How To Put Your Listings On Facebook

As a team of Real Estate Virtual Assistants, we’ve done our research and wanted to share some of our favorite Facebook Applications with you. They’re an easy and effective way to help you promote your business at little to no cost!

Your REALTOR.com listings on Facebook:

The first widget or application works with www.REALTOR.com. REALTOR.com has just updated their page on Facebook and is now granting access to their application to all REALTORS!

Click HERE to view the REALTOR.com Facebook application!

You can now add your REALTOR.com listings to your Facebook page. They will have their own tab called “View My Listings” When someone clicks to view, they’ll be lead directly to your REALTOR.com page.

MAKE SURE your Real Estate Virtual Assistant is enhancing all of your listings on REALTOR.com to ensure the best exposure to potential buyers! With so many listings being featured online, your listing really has to pop. To make sure your listings pop, make sure you are uploading 25 photos, adding your enhanced ad copy, two headlines and a special message. The more details, the better!

Canadian MLS Real Estate Professionals:

“Don’t Feel Left Out Canada!” There is a brand new application for Facebook made specifically for Canadian MLS Real Estate Professionals. This great application gives REALTORS a separate profile page aside from their personal page to showcase listings, custom links, business profile and much more! The company is currently working on getting an IDX Search Compatible with this application so that your listings can automatically feed. For now, they need to be manually entered.

I am very familiar with being able to do this but don't know why in the world you would want to direct a consumer to Realtor.com when you could be sending them directly to your website.

If you post your listings to your facebook page, and the user clicks to view all of your listings by clicking the blue text at the bottom of the box, then the user is taken to a window showing your listing where a pop up occurs with the Buyer Assist program that Realtor.com has just initiated. The user is then given info and photo of an agent in your market that has puchased the zip code for that featured property. I had my listings on Facebook, but I will be taking them off because I don't want my friends to be “introduced” to another agent for my listings. Give your input to Realtor.com and let them know that you do not want them to sell our leads to other agents through this program.

Hi Michael, Again thanks for the news. Right now our challenge is to find free sources versus paying REALTOR.com or yet another subscription service monthly. Like many others I will not pay REALTOR.com to enhance what already exists on our MLS just so they can capture my credit card. Keep us posted.

I do not plan to sign up to once again have Realtor.com send potential buyers to those that purchased their zip code. Am thinking I can post my listings on my own page and not redirect traffic to Realtor.com.

Greatpoint Bill… I don’t think real estate board cares about your potential, but more their potential. But…, that one socialrealestatetools.com website allows you to build your own business real estate profile that is delivered in a facebook page. So it looks like a normal facebook profile only it has all your real estate details; contact info, map, your properties, viewing, home evaluation and mortgage quote forms, and more. And it DOES NOT send the user to any other site, especially one that has other agents listings.

I did some digging and found that the Canadian one has launched out of beta and is open to the public. SocialRealEstateTools.ca is their sign-up domain. It’s has more features than any other Canadian app for facebook offering. socialrealestatetools.ca

Your point is valid Roger. You should be able to keep your leads without poachers paying someone else to steal your clients!!! You *can* just post your listings in to your facebook profile, but it just doesn’t look very professional. That socialrealestatetools.com app gives you a professional look and interface, with very little effort, and doesn’t ever send the users to any other site. You keep your leads in your email, and keep your clients looking at your properties. You don’t even need a realtor account to use it.

Good for you Laura. The board seems to have dropped the ball on providing a service that can retain your leads. Try the socialrealestatetools.com app, it does not introduce your clients to any other agent or ever sent them to another website. What's more is that it lets you put your own “Real estate” tab on your profile or any other facebook page than you want to try to market with, not just a little box 1/2 way down the page. Something that the boards offering can't do. Have fun!
