Instant Blogging Using Your Cell Phone
Monday, September 21st, 2009
There is no question that blogging can be a powerful tool to help you and your Website stand out from the crowd and generate new business. And, as many of you have already found out, it can be time consuming and a lot of work. Yet here’s an innovative way to post compelling content to your blog in just seconds.
During the most recent Inman Connect I met with my good friends Brad and Bobby Carroll of Dakno, Inc. as they share the secrets of blogging right from your cell phone camera! A process they call “Photo Blogging”. Here’s an overview on how it works:
- Make sure your cellphone is handy as you go about your day;
- Any time you happen to be at one of your listings or a point of interest in your market area snap a picture of it using your cellphone camera;
- Send the photo a special Flickr.com account via email where the subject line will be you blog post title and the body of the message will be your post content (only a sentence or two should suffice);
- Once your Flickr account receives it, it will then automatically post your photo, title and contents to a special blog site you have set up.
The beauty of this is that a) it’s very easy and quick to do, b) once set up the posting is automatic, c) by including the property address in your title (i.e. subject line) you will raise the Google profile of your blog and hence, you. When Brad and Bobby told me about this idea and how elegantly simple it was, the only thing I could say was “Wow!” If you want all the benefits that blogging has to offer, but none of the hassle then this is for you.
As they say however, the devil is in the details. That is why I’ve invited Brad and Bobby to be our next Guest Experts during our next Online Dominance Live Group Coaching session this Tuesday. This is where they will explain to all attending Online Dominance members how to set up their own photo-blogging site so that it go from cellphone to post in just seconds. You see blogging doesn’t have to be difficult, just effective…
