The One Guaranteed Secret To Success
A very sincere sales associate contacted me a few days ago asking for help on what was frustrating him. He has been in the business about seven years, doing well yet still feeling like something is missing. He said he had been to nearly every coaching program there was and didn’t want to hear that “our program is the answer you are looking for!!” Can’t blame him, there is too much of that as it is in this industry.
So I asked him some questions and let him do most of the talking. He (like everyone else in the business who had a pulse) enjoyed a very healthy sales business during the boom times, but now found it to be much more of a challenge —no surprise there
) But then it finally came out that he was most frustrated with the fact he simply didn’t know what his passion was, (something I suspected was the case from the start). Without passion, he just didn’t have the energy or inclination to handle the current market challenges.
What I suggested to him to address this rather deep and existential issue may seem a bit strange, but he got it. And that is, don’t run from the discomfort of not knowing your passion. In fact, embrace it fully and treat it like the friend it is. That’s because it (your passion) is already there just aching to get out…
When you are doing what you know you are meant to do, there’s no need to struggle. Instead of difficult or challenging or frustrating, there is simply doing. When you are merely interested, or when you’re following someone else’s dream, anything can distract you. Yet when you’re pursuing your very own passion, nothing has the power to stop you. There is a reason why some things feel right and other things don’t. Pay attention to those feelings, for they tell you who you truly are.

So you want to know the secret to adding rocket fuel to your business and incredible fulfillment to your life? It’s simple really, just find your passion. And if you think you don’t know what it is, embrace that discomfort passionately so the real “you” has a chance to show itself….
A life without passion is no life at all.
